Following public exhibition of the Uungula Wind Farm Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) (May-July 2020) and receipt of submissions, the project has now prepared and submitted the next required documentation for the project’s planning approvals. These are known as the Submissions Report (where the project presents, categorises and responds to each submission) and the Amendment Report (which describes any changes to the project since the EIS as a result of submissions, further studies or designs).
During public exhibition the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) received 52 submissions on the project, including advice from 19 government agencies, 26 submissions from the general public and seven from organisations / special interest groups (refer to the graphs on the back page for analysis of the submissions).
The project’s Submissions Report and Amendment Report are now available online at the NSW Major Projects website here and the DPIE will commence their assessment of the project’s Development Application. Should the project receive the necessary Development Consent consistent with previously stated timelines the project anticipates commencement of construction towards the end of 2021.
